BODY PRIDE WORKSHOPS ($35, GIRLS ONLY *read: everyone who identifies as a woman, 19+)
Transcendentally awesome sisterhood times. This is a nude event that will completely alter the way you relate to your body and others. Julia, Nora and Khadeja (our in house photographer) invite you to come hang out in a completely safe, warm, judgment-free atmosphere while we dive head on into topics that you just can’t bring up in everyday conversation: childhood masturbation, orgasms, labia, periods, boobs, boys, girls, love, sex, fetishes, porn, etc. Julia will lead the group in a circular discussion (more or less meaning that everyone gets their chance to speak about each topic) and then, when we’ve almost lost our voices, we flip the room into a studio and get your BODY PRIDE photo taken.

Do you have workshops in Colorado? I’m only 15 but I have body… Issues… I found this and thought that it would be a a good expirience for when I got older.

Hi Em, there is a lady called Sarah Berry in London UK who is running something similar. See her website ‘Fannies Rule’. I haven’t been to these events (my home is West Midlands & I have mobility problems among other things) but one day I will! The website is fab, very fun-loving & cheeky, great therapy for me (depressive 57-yr-old). Sarah is also involved with the female-friendly sex shop SH!

The workshops say girls only but what about a genderqueer girl, a genderfluid girl? Are there serious semantics backing up this girls only clubhouse rule?
The Girls Only workshop is open to everyone that identifies as a woman, genderqueer or genderfluid, if that person were to identify as a woman there are more than welcome to attend. If that person identified as a woman one day and a man the next, I’d likely recommend that they attend the Co-Ed workshop.
